More than 250,000 people live in Chula Vista, making it the second largest city in San Diego County, one of the Top 10 largest in Southern California, and one of the Top 100 largest cities in the United States.

Major attractions include the largest and only year-round Olympic Training Center in the country; the SeaWorld Aquatica water park; the 20,500-seat Sleep Train Amphitheatre that attracts big-name artists like Jimmy Buffet, Alan Jackson, and the Dave Matthews Band; the Chula Vista Marina; and an award-winning nature center.
As would be expected in any major metropolitan area, Chula Vista is home to a diverse population. Like many southern California communities, more than 50% of the population is Hispanic or Latino.
